Spot A BUG

Spot A Bug is an AI-powered mobile application designed to identify insects from photos. The app provides instant recognition, evaluates whether an insect is dangerous or beneficial, and shares its ecological role. Built with XAML (frontend) and C# (backend), the project integrates iNaturalist Computer Vision & Taxa API and Wikipedia REST API for accurate identification and educational insights.

From testing on a small dataset, the app achieved 80% accuracy in name identification and 60% accuracy in danger level classification, highlighting its potential while also showing the need for larger-scale evaluation.
